The Valley View Karate Kendo Dojo, known in English as Valley View Kendo and in Japanese as Keibokan Kendo Kai, participates in tournaments sponsored by the Mid West Kendo Federation twice a year.  We also travel to the seminars held around the area, which include group practices held in Rochester, MN.  This page is dedicated to those dates, and will be updated as I receive confirmation on times and places for these events.

VALLEY VIEW KENDO GETS A VISIT

On Saturday, October 21st, we were honored to have a visit from Toshihiro Shimizu Sensei, 8th Dan Soke and Toyama Sensei, 8th Dan Hanshi from Kyushu Japan.  These two sensei are the top instructors of Muso Jikiden Eishinryu, one of Japan's oldest Iaido Arts.  I cannot begin to describe the level of instruction the precious few of us were able to receive.  It was a whirlwind two days and I know that we will all look forward to having these distinguished gentlemen back to our humble dojo again.
